Do I need an account to order?

No! You can just place an order and include your delivery details when you checkout.

How many biscuits do I get for 100grams?

We sell our biscuits by gram weight because they are all handmade and sizes can vary slightly.

100 grams will get you between 4 and 6 large bones (more for the smaller sized bone  usually 8 -12 small sized bones), depending on flavour and size of individual bone.

How much is Postage?

Flat Rate – $10.00 (anywhere in Australia – included packing & postage)

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver Australia Wide.

What sizes are your biscuits?

Small Bone -  approx 6-7cm long, 1-2cm wide

Large Bone – approx 9cm, 2-4cm wide

Small Round Bites – approx 1cm round

What is carob?

The carob that is used in dog treats is actually ground seedpods of the carob tree. Carob trees are generally grown in Mediterranean-type climates. The seed pods are shaken off the trees onto large canvas sheets and then sun dried. Once dried, the seeds are extracted and the seedless pods are roasted and ground into a powder resembling cocoa. It is this powder that is used in dog treats and other food products.

Is carob the same as chocolate?

NO! Chocolate contains theobromine, which is toxic to dogs and other animals. When chocolate is ingested, theobromine and caffeine stimulate the central nervous system, and increase urine production and heart rate. This over stimulation ultimately results in fatal cardiac arrhythmia, hypothermia, or respiratory failure.

Is carob safe for dogs?

YES! Carob is safe for dogs since it does not contain theobromine. While the taste of carob is slightly similar to chocolate, it has a distinct sweet flavor all it’s own. Not only is the taste appealing, the nutritional benefits are, too. Carob is very low fat and a good source of protein and calcium. It also contains iron, thiamine, niacin, and several other beneficial nutrients.

Does Gourmet Dog Biscuits contain preservatives?

NO, we do not use any artificial preservatives. What we do is ’dehydrate’ our products to discourage growth of bacteria, yeast and molds.

What is the shelf life of your biscuits & treats?

Our products have a shelf life of about 3-4 months.
